Why Use a Rattan Banneton for Sourdough?

A rattan banneton (proofing basket) is an no-stress tool for shaping and proofing sourdough. Here's why it's a game-changer for your baking process:

This RATTAN banneton (proofing basket) is used to provide structure and shape for sourdough during the proofing stage. The banneton comes with a removable and washable linen liner.  It can be used with the linen liner.   Two shapes are available an round and an oval.

For the best results, heavily sprinkle rice flour or semolina onto the liner (if you are using the liner) or directly onto the banneton (if you are are not using the liner), this stops the dough from sticking.

   
P.S. I dont recommend that you wash your banneton.  Just wipe or blush it over between bakes.
